There are some changes that will be predicted to be available in this new series. They are they new lighting, bumper and the cabin capacity. The renewal comprises of the following features: refreshed design of exterior, new stop/start engine system, newly developed 8-speed transmission, standard Toyota Safety Sense, a new boosted drivetrain, and the addition of new trim on Hybrid model. This is the car that’s officially offered to be an option for the discontinued Toyota Venza. With the new Highlander, you can virtually satisfy your family throughout the journey.
2017-2018 Toyota Highlander Exterior Design
The Highlander now wears a new fascia; the large trapezoidal grille with Toyota logo on the upper part is an instant identification. The tips of the long, horizontal headlights touch the outer part of the grille. A sharp crease is placed below each headlight, and underneath the creases are rounded fog lamps. Two lines of the hood meet the top of the grille to build an inverted trapezoid shape, as if mirroring the grille. On the side we’ll have bulky and rather squared fenders. The rear part is equipped with a spoiler and horizontal taillights. We think the redesigned exterior is not quite lovable but it will still be able to attract more potential buyers.

The interior is configurable to your choice. Captain’s chairs are offered for the second row seating. In standard model, the second row seating provides a low bench, so the new Highlander will be able to carry up to eight passengers.
